Samuel M. Douchey – age 24 years, residence 4035 Vinton St., Omaha Fire Department, June 4, 1965.

Survived by his wife, Geraldine, daughter, Vick Lyons, sons, John and Michael, parents, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Douchey, all of Omaha; sisters, Mrs. R.J. Slimp, Omaha, Mrs. John J. Larkin, Jr., Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Gerald Carter, West Chicago, Ill., Mrs. Tom Geisemann, Huntsville, Ala.; brothers, John, Robert, and George, all of Omaha.


Firefighter Samuel M. Douchey (Aerial No. 3), age 24, died from smoke inhalation after searching for trapped workers at the Swanson Office Building while working at Engine No. 20 on June 4, 1965.

Service: Larkin Funeral home, Tuesday 9 am to St. Thomas More Church 9:30 am. Interment Calvary Cemetery. Rosary recitation Monday 8 pm at mortuary.
