John D. McCann was born in omaha on April 3, 1971 to Elmer W. McCann and C. Kay (Spidle) McCann. He passed on January 14, 2024.
John is survived by his parents, Elmer and Kay McCann; wife, Colette McCann (Reinhard); his children: Zoe, Cody, Weston, Bailey, Davis, Xiva; and grandchildren, Tommy, Charlie, Emma, and Ava. As well as brother, Shane McCann, and sisters, Theresa Cassidy, Michelle Landolt, Jennifer Buckley, Kelly Laughlin, Megan Fletcher, Beth Jewett, and Julie Hagan.
John was a firefighter with the Omaha Fire Department for 21 years. He loved to play golf and spend time with family and friends, bit most of all he loved his children and grandchildren. He was very proud of their many accomplishments and the people they have become.
John is greatly loved and will be missed beyond measure. He was a blessing, and his memory remains safe in our hearts.
