Funeral services for Captain Cornelius Starr of the Omaha Fire Department were held Monday morning from St. peter’s church. Mons. J.W. Stensen, V.G., celebrated the Requiem High mass at 9 o’clock. Captain Starr died Thursday of last week at his residence, 1314 South Twenty-seventh street. He is survived by his wife, Lucy; 4 daughters, Mrs. Emmett Murphy; Misses Dorothy, Helen Rose and Isabella; 3 sons, Hubert, John, Thomas, all of Omaha; 2 sisters, Mrs. Larry Helgesen, Newark, N.J.; Mrs. John Donlea, Seabright, N.J.; 3 brothers, James of Denver, Joseph of New York City, John of Ireland. Interment was made in St. Mary’s cemetery, South Side.
