Brent Edwin Thilliander, age 84, of Mead, Nebraska, passed away on October 25, 2025, at Nye Legacy in Fremont.
Brent was born on March 23, 1941, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Edwin and Vernice (Duis) Thilliander. He graduated from Benson North High School in Omaha. In 1963, he married the love of his life, Frieda (Popp), with whom he shared over 60 wonderful years. In 1975, Brent and his wife moved to a farm in Saunders County, Nebraska, where he helped Hank Johnson farm for over 30 years.
Brent dedicated his career as a firefighter for the City of Omaha, retiring in the late 90’s.
He enjoyed a full life filled with fishing, hunting, cars, farm animals, and spending time with family. He especially loved his time with the Star Dusters Car Club and the Prune Juice Prowlers.
He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter-in-law, Dawnella.
Brent is survived by his loving wife, Frieda; sons, Ed and John Thilliander; daughter, Brenda Pfeiffer; brothers, Brian (Lee) and Steve (Debbie) Thilliander; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
