Station No. 53, 80th & Dodge

The fire station was built in 1958, and is currently the oldest active station. It lies at 80th & Dodge Streets, equidistant between 72nd & 90th Streets. When the station was built it was the furthest west station, with many fields intermixed with creeping neighborhoods. Today it sits in the heart of Omaha.

The station’s fire suppression compliment include Engine No. 53, a 2011 Spartan Gladiator, and Tower No. 53, a 2023 Pierce Enforcer 100′ ascendant mid-mount platform. The Tower is one of two which the fire department operates.

The station logo features the outline of a Corinthian battle helmet and America flag imagery.
