Station No. 3, 16th & Spring

Fire Station No. 3 was built in 2001, replacing the prior station of that number, 20th & Spring Street, which was a station built when the department’s engines were still pulled by horses.

The station’s suppression compliment includes Engine No. 3, a 2020 E-One Typhoon.

The station’s medical compliment includes Medic No. 2, a 2022 Ford F-450.

Station No. 3 responds to large swaths of South Omaha and historic Sheelytown. This territory includes Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium, leading to the station’s motto, First Due at the Zoo.
