Station No. 18, 31st & R – SOFD

Fire Station No. 18 was established on July 1, 1915 when the City of Omaha annexed South Omaha.  The date is unknown when the building was opened by the South Omaha Fire Department.  It became quarters for Hose No. 18 was motorized on November 26, 1918 and reclassified as Engine No. 18.  The building remained an active firehouse until April 28, 1923 when Engine No. 18 moved to a new firehouse on 37th and P.
