Hook & Ladder No. 3, 2201 S. 11th – original structure

Quarters for Hook and Ladder No. 3 was opened on April 22, 1895.  It was the only firehouse in the history of the Omaha Fire Department that operated with a single truck company that operated with career staffing.  Hook and Ladder No.  3 was motorized on June 18, 1917.  The original quarters were demolished in 1922 and a new firehouse opened on January 2, 1924 and became quarters for Engine No. 16 and Truck No. 3.
