Station No. 9, 20th & Spring

Fire Station No.9 was opened in 1891, exact date is unknown.  Originally it was quarters for Hose No. 12, reorganized as Hose No. 9, motorized on August 11, 1916 and reclassified as Engine No. 9 in 1918.  Over the years it became home to Engine No. 30 and later Engine No. 3.  At some time the second floor was removed and continued as an active firehouse until 2001.  It is currently a private residence.
