Station No. 6, 24th & Cuming – second structure

This fire station opened on July 25, 1907 and replaced an older fire station at the same site that opened in 1881 and housed Hose No. 1, Hose No. 6 and Truck No. 2.  Hose No. 1 was motorized on June 16, 1917 and disbanded soon after.  Hose No. 6 was motorized on July 26, 1916 and reclassified as Engine No. 6 in 1918.  Truck No. 2 was motorized on May 31, 1917.  Due to a lack of manpower during World War II the fire station was closed and never reopened.  It has since been demolished.
